Co-host Erin Andrews skipping 'Dancing With the Stars' this week

"Dancing With the Stars" co-host Erin Andrews will miss tonight's performance show and Tuesday night results program following the death of the nephew of her longtime  boyfriend, Canadian hockey player Jarret Stoll.

Host Tom Bergeron revealed he will be flying solo tonight in an hour-long episode that airs before the presidential debate on ABC.

"My pal @ErinAndrews will be absent from @DancingABC this week to support @jarretstoll whose nephew passed away. Sending hugs and condolences," Bergeron tweeted.

Later, he added that an as-yet-undetermined co-host will join him on Tuesday night.

Last fall, Bergeron took time off from hosting "DWTS" to be by his ailing father's side before he passed away in October 2015. Former "DWTS" champ Alfonso Ribeiro filled in as host during Bergeron's absence.

Bergeron has been the host since the program's premiere in 2005. Andrews joined the show in 2014, replacing longtime co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet.

Now in its 23rd season, "DWTS" eliminated actor Jake T. Austin from the competition last week. The remaining 12 contestants are Olympians Ryan Lochte and Laurie Hernandez; former Texas Gov. Rick Perry; actors  Maureen McCormick, Amber Rose, Marilu Henner and Terra Jole;  former NFL wide receiver Calvin Johnson; singers Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Vanilla Ice and Jana Kramer and race car driver James Hinchcliff.
